Who we are
Centrixa makes business software for businesses in Pakistan. In this policy "Centrixa", "we" and "us" mean Centrixa, Lahore, Pakistan. "You" means anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or uses Centrixa.
This policy covers our website (getcentrixa.com), the Centrixa software (app.getcentrixa.com), and the ways we talk to you, including WhatsApp, phone and email.
What we collect
When you contact us
- Your name, business name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and city, and what you write to us.
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your WhatsApp number, profile name and the messages we exchange.
When your business uses Centrixa
- Account details: the names, email addresses and phone numbers of your users, and their passwords, which are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form we cannot read.
- Your business profile: name, address, tax numbers and logo.
- Billing records: your plan, invoices and payments to us.
- Security records: sign-ins and failed sign-ins with date, time, IP address, browser and device, and a log of changes made in your account.
Data your business keeps in Centrixa
Your business enters its own records: products, stock, suppliers, customers (for example names, phone numbers, addresses and, where your business records them, CNIC numbers), sales, payments, installment plans, service jobs and accounts. We call this business data.
Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Centrixa software uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms against misuse.
How we use it
- To answer your questions, arrange demos and send you prices you asked for.
- To set up and run your Centrixa account, provide support and send you notices about your account, such as billing reminders, security alerts and important changes.
- To keep Centrixa secure: spotting unusual sign-ins, preventing misuse and investigating problems.
- To improve Centrixa, using information about how features are used. We do not read your business data for this, except when you ask us to help with a problem.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping our own tax records.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your business data to market anything to your customers.
WhatsApp messages
When we message you
We send you WhatsApp messages only if you have agreed to hear from us, for example by:
- messaging us first on WhatsApp,
- ticking the box on our contact form that allows us to contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email, or
- giving us your number to arrange a demo or to set up your Centrixa account.
The messages are about what you asked for: replies to your questions, demo arrangements, prices, onboarding and support, and, for businesses using Centrixa, notices about your account and subscription. We do not send promotional messages to people who have not agreed to receive them.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, or tell us by phone or email at any time. We will confirm and stop sending you messages that are not required. If you have a Centrixa account, essential notices about it (such as a billing problem) may still reach you by email.
Messages sent by businesses that use Centrixa
Businesses using Centrixa can send their own customers messages such as payment reminders, receipts or service updates. These messages come from that business, and the business is responsible for having its customers' permission to message them. If you receive such a message and want it to stop, reply to that business or contact them directly. You can also tell us, and we will pass your request to the business.
About WhatsApp
WhatsApp is a service of Meta. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
Business data: our role
Your business decides what it records in Centrixa and why. For business data, your business is responsible for it and we look after it on your business's behalf. We use it only to provide Centrixa to your business: storing it, keeping it secure, backing it up, and helping when your business asks for support.
If you are a customer of a business that uses Centrixa and you have a question about your information, please contact that business first. We will help them answer you.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run Centrixa and our business:
- Hosting and storage providers that keep Centrixa running.
- Providers of email and messaging services, including WhatsApp, to deliver messages.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Government authorities, courts or law enforcement when the law requires us to.
Each of them gets only what they need. We never sell or rent personal information.
How we keep it safe
- All connections to our website and the Centrixa software are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Each business's data is kept apart, and every request is checked so that a user only reaches their own business's records.
- Users see and do only what their role allows. Changes are recorded in an audit log.
- Passwords are stored in a form we cannot read. Users can see their sign-in history and sign other devices out.
- Data is backed up regularly.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected businesses without delay if we learn of a breach that affects their data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries (contact form, WhatsApp, calls) that don't lead to an account: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Business data: for as long as your business uses Centrixa. After an account is closed, you can export your data for 30 days; we then delete it within 90 days, including from backups as they are replaced.
- Sign-in records: 12 months. Audit log of changes: 24 months.
- Our invoices and payment records to you: as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information (see Data deletion);
- stop contacting you by WhatsApp, phone or email.
Businesses using Centrixa can export their data to Excel at any time from within the software. We reply to requests within 30 days, and may need to confirm who you are first.
Children
Centrixa is made for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell businesses using Centrixa by email or in the software.
